Early Life and Basketball Career

Jayson Christopher Tatum was born on March 3, 1998, in St. Louis, Missouri. He began playing basketball at an early age and quickly displayed exceptional talent. Tatum attended Chaminade College Preparatory School, where he led the team to two state championships. In 2016, he was named Gatorade National Player of the Year.

College Career

Tatum committed to Duke University, where he played for one season under coach Mike Krzyzewski. He averaged 16.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game and was named the ACC Rookie of the Year. After his freshman season, Tatum declared for the NBA draft.

NBA Career

The Boston Celtics selected Tatum with the third overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft. He quickly became a key player for the Celtics, starting 80 games during his rookie season. Tatum has continued to improve in each subsequent season, establishing himself as one of the league's top young players.
