Fourth Test Mission of Massive Rocket

SpaceX successfully launched its Starship megarocket on Thursday, June 6, at 8:50 a.m. EDT, on an uncrewed test flight to over 320,000 feet. This marked the fourth test mission of the massive rocket, which is designed to carry humans and cargo to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

Successful Launch and Landing

The launch took place from SpaceX's Starbase facility in Boca Chica, Texas. The rocket ascended vertically for about three minutes before reaching the edge of space and then transitioned to a horizontal flight path. It flew for about six minutes before successfully landing back at the landing site.

The successful launch and landing mark a significant milestone for SpaceX and its ambitious plans for Starship. The rocket is the most powerful launch system ever developed and is capable of carrying up to 100 metric tons of payload to low Earth orbit.
